Aquarius Lawyers — Building a Multi-Service Legal Lead Generation Ecosystem

Building a Multi-Service Legal Lead Generation Ecosystem

Client: Aquarius Lawyers
Industry: Legal Services
Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia
Services: Digital Strategy · UI/UX Design · Microsite Development · Landing Page Development · SEO Architecture · Conversion UX · AI Integration · Technical Performance
Agency: Motionify

The Challenge

Moving from a general legal website to purpose-built digital experiences

Aquarius Lawyers needed a stronger digital architecture for individual practice areas and high-intent search journeys.

The objective was not simply to create more web pages. It was to create dedicated digital experiences around the specific problems, questions and decisions potential clients were searching for.

Motionify’s scope covered:

  • 2 legal microsites
  • 3 dedicated landing pages
  • Responsive UI/UX design and development
  • 20–30 pages of legal content per microsite
  • AI chatbot integration
  • Search-focused content architecture
  • Schema and on-page SEO
  • Google Analytics 4 and Search Console
  • Mobile-first optimisation
  • Core Web Vitals and technical performance
  • Ongoing SEO and website maintenance

The project was therefore approached as a lead-generation ecosystem, rather than a conventional website-development exercise.

The Approach

We designed around the client’s journey — not just the firm’s services.

Legal clients often arrive with a problem rather than a clearly defined legal service.

Someone may search for:

“What happens after my first court appearance?”

Another person may search:

“Can someone check my property contract before auction?”

And another may be trying to understand:

“Do I need probate?”

Instead of forcing all these visitors through the same generic website journey, Motionify created dedicated pathways for different search intents and stages of decision-making.

The framework

Search Intent
↓
Relevant Legal Information
↓
Trust & Context
↓
Situation-Specific CTA
↓
Structured Enquiry
↓
Lawyer Follow-Up

The project scope specifically included search narrative mapping, competitor microsite audits, content extraction systems, publishing workflows and final QA.

What We Built

01 — Criminal Defence Microsite
aquariuscriminaldefence.com.au

A dedicated digital property focused entirely on criminal defence in Sydney and NSW.

Rather than presenting criminal law as one broad service, the site is organised around specific charges, situations and court stages.

The information architecture includes pathways covering:

  • Assault
  • Common assault
  • Affray
  • Grievous bodily harm
  • Robbery
  • Drug offences
  • First-time drug possession
  • Drink driving
  • AVO and domestic violence
  • Stalking and intimidation
  • Bail
  • First court appearance
  • Section 10
  • Conditional release orders
  • Criminal appeals
  • Fees and consultations
Designed around urgency

The experience starts with the visitor’s situation:

“What is happening to you right now?”

From there, users can identify whether they need information about a charge, court appearance, bail, an AVO or another immediate legal issue.

This creates a more relevant journey than simply directing every visitor to a generic “Criminal Law” contact page.

02 — AI-Assisted Criminal Defence Intake

Introducing “Ask Banjo”

A major component of the Criminal Defence experience is the Ask Banjo virtual assistant.

Visitors can begin by describing their situation and are guided towards the appropriate next step.

The current experience positions Banjo around intake, payment and document collection, rather than presenting it as a substitute for legal advice.

This aligns with the original project requirement to integrate an AI chatbot with Aquarius Lawyers’ existing intake and calendar systems where available.

The principle

Don’t make the visitor figure out where to start.

Let the digital experience help them identify the appropriate pathway.

03 — Criminal Law Landing Page

Criminal Law Landing Page

Alongside the full Criminal Defence microsite, Motionify developed a dedicated landing-page experience for high-intent visitors.

The purpose is different from the main microsite:

Microsite:
Build authority, discoverability and education across multiple criminal-law topics.

Landing page:
Give a visitor arriving with a specific intent a focused route towards enquiry.

This creates the foundation for using the page across appropriate campaigns, referrals and targeted acquisition journeys without relying on the broader site navigation.

04 — Conveyancing Microsite

conveyancesydney.com.au

The second major digital property focuses specifically on Sydney and NSW conveyancing and property law.

The site is organised around the property transaction itself.

Visitors can choose pathways including:

  • Buying property
  • Selling property
  • Contract review
  • Fixed-fee conveyancing
  • First-home buyers
  • Conveyancing fees
  • Property solicitor services
  • Commercial property matters
  • Conveyancer vs solicitor
  • Settlement-related questions

A journey rather than a service list

The microsite presents the property journey as:

Buying
↓
Contract Review
↓
Planning
↓
Exchange
↓
Settlement

This allows users to start from the stage they are currently experiencing rather than needing to understand legal terminology first.

05 — Conveyancing Quote Landing Page

Conveyancing Quote Landing Page

One of the strongest conversion-focused pieces of the project is the Conveyancing Quote landing page.

Instead of a traditional:

Name + Email + Message → Submit

the experience collects relevant information progressively.

The enquiry journey asks about:

01 — Matter type

Buying, selling, contract review, quote, first-home support or commercial property.

02 — Property location

Sydney/NSW suburb or postcode.

03 — Contract status

Whether the contract is ready, unavailable or being prepared.

04 — Deadline

Auction, signing, cooling-off or settlement date.

05 — Pressure points

Questions around deposits, cooling-off, exchange and settlement.

06 — Quote requirements

Fixed-fee quote, contract-review estimate or another pricing enquiry.

07 — Response preference

Preferred communication method and timing.

08 — Contact details

Name, email and mobile.

From “Contact Us” to Structured Lead Intelligence

This is an important part of the Motionify case study.

The form is designed to capture context before contact.

Instead of receiving:

“I need a conveyancing quote.”

the legal team can receive information about:

  • What the client is doing
  • Where the property is located
  • Whether there is a contract
  • The upcoming deadline
  • The client’s concerns
  • What pricing information they require

That creates a more useful starting point for the subsequent legal conversation.

06 — Estate Planning & Probate Landing Page

Estate Planning & Probate Landing Page

Motionify also developed a dedicated landing-page experience for estate planning, wills and probate-related enquiries.

The role of this page within the ecosystem is different again.

Rather than competing with the broader Aquarius Lawyers website for every legal query, it provides a focused destination for visitors specifically looking for estate-planning and probate assistance.

This creates a scalable model:

One legal practice → multiple specialised digital experiences → multiple intent-specific conversion journeys.

The Design System

One development foundation. Multiple legal experiences.

Although the websites serve different legal audiences, Motionify built them around a shared component-based development approach.

The project scope included:

  • Responsive UI/UX
  • Shared codebase
  • Reusable components
  • Mobile-first optimisation
  • Technical performance optimisation
  • Core Web Vitals optimisation
  • AI integration
  • Technical maintenance

This provides a scalable foundation for expanding Aquarius Lawyers’ digital ecosystem without treating every new page or property as a completely separate project.

Search-First Architecture

SEO was built into the structure — not added afterwards.

The project incorporated SEO at the development and content-architecture level.

Technical foundation

Schema implementation

Meta tags

Internal linking

Google Search Console

Google Analytics 4

Google indexing

Technical SEO

Core Web Vitals

These elements were included within the original website-build scope.

Content architecture

The Criminal Defence microsite demonstrates the approach particularly clearly.

Instead of one broad criminal-law page, the site provides dedicated pages around specific search topics such as:

  • Drink driving
  • AVO
  • Assault
  • Drug offences
  • Bail
  • First court appearance
  • Criminal appeals
  • GBH
  • Robbery
  • Section 10
  • Stalking/intimidation

This creates a much deeper search footprint while giving visitors information relevant to their specific situation.

Conversion UX

Every journey has a next step.

Motionify’s UX approach was built around one question:

“What does this visitor need to do next?”

For Criminal Defence:

Understand the charge → Understand the next step → Prepare → Contact

For Conveyancing:

Identify property stage → Identify deadline → Identify concern → Request appropriate assistance

For Estate Planning:

Identify legal need → Understand options → Start an enquiry

The result is a digital experience that connects content and conversion, rather than treating them as separate activities.

Performance & Technical Foundation

The project also included a technical foundation designed for modern users and search engines.

Built with:
  • Responsive development
  • Mobile-first UX
  • Performance optimisation
  • Core Web Vitals
  • Schema
  • Internal linking
  • Search Console
  • Analytics
  • Indexing setup
  • Ongoing technical health monitoring

The ongoing maintenance scope extends this foundation through technical monitoring, SEO refinement, schema updates, broken-link fixes, mobile issue resolution, performance improvements and monthly reporting.

The Result

A scalable digital ecosystem for a multi-practice law firm.

Rather than producing a collection of disconnected pages, Motionify created a framework for Aquarius Lawyers to build specialised digital experiences around specific legal services and client intent.

Delivered as part of the initial project
Deliverable

Technology Meets Human Decision-Making

Legal websites need to do more than look professional.

They need to help people who may be:

  • Under time pressure
  • Unsure what their legal issue means
  • Comparing services
  • Looking for pricing clarity
  • Trying to understand what happens next
  • Deciding whether they need professional help

The Aquarius Lawyers ecosystem was designed around this reality.

The interfaces guide users towards their current situation, provide relevant information and then make the next action clearer.

What’s Next

The project was designed as an ongoing digital growth platform rather than a one-off launch.

From Month 3, the agreed maintenance programme includes:

  • 4–6 new legal content pages per month
  • On-page SEO refinement
  • Technical health monitoring
  • Core Web Vitals review
  • Schema updates
  • Broken-link and mobile fixes
  • Performance improvements
  • Monthly reporting
  • Content revisions following legal review
  • Publishing queue management

The agreement also established that early organic ranking signals may begin around Month 3, with stronger organic traction generally expected between Months 6–9.

This makes the project particularly suitable for an ongoing SEO + content + conversion optimisation model.
